Villa youngster Clark wants Euro action next term

Aston Villa's Ciaran Clark has made it clear that the club should set their sights on Europe next season.

Despite sitting 14th on the Premier League table, the versatile 21-year old feels that Villa are capable of turning the disappointment of this campaign into something positive in 2011/12.

"We have got more than a good enough squad to take us far and we have been in Europe in previous seasons," he told Express and Star.

"It's always nice to watch the big teams in the Champions League and it does inspire you and make you wish you want to be as good as them one day and hopefully I can get to that level.

"It's just a shame that the season hasn't gone as well we hoped but now we have to focus on getting a few more wins and getting ourselves back up the table.

"Maybe next season we can push on and show just how good we really are."
