Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan is delighted with his progress on-loan at Blackpool.

The young Scot has been recovering from a foot injury at Villa Park, but hopes to return to the Seasiders for the season run-in.

"I'd like to think I'm improving and obviously you are going to get stronger," Bannan told Villa's website.

"The way I'm playing now, I'm moving the ball a bit quicker. It has helped and I feel like I'm improving.

"There are a lot more people getting tighter and closer than in the Premier League so you have to be aware of that, move the ball quick and play at a decent tempo to ride challenges."
