Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan has been charged with four motoring offences following a crash on the M1 in Nottinghamshire last month, reports BBC News. The 21 year old Scotland international was charged with drinking and driving and failing to stop after an accident.
He is also accused of driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without due care and attention.
He was bailed to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 25 November.
