Andreas Weimann has been rewarded by Aston Villa with a new contract and then sent straight out on loan to Watford.
The 20-year old has signed a two-year contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2014 and he was delighted to pledge his future to the Villa Park outfit.
"We started talking on Wednesday and I signed it today," said Weimann. "We did a little bit of negotiating but obviously if I get a contract for the first team with Villa it's great. I was happy to sign another contract.
"It's great to be here, it's a great club and it shows me I can be a first-team player in the next few years."
But Weimann will join Watford on loan until January as he continues to development in the Hornets first team after spending the second part of last season at Vicarage Road.
