Villa won't consider less than £35M from Spurs for Benteke

Tottenham will have to up their planned bid in January if they're to land Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

The Daily Mail says Spurs are looking to make a £28million bid for Benteke in the January transfer window.

The Belgian, who made an astonishing U-turn in the summer to sign a new contract at Villa Park despite interest from Chelsea and Spurs, could move to London sooner than Villa fans expected.

However, Villa would want £35million if they were to sell in January, with Spurs also looking elsewhere for striking options to fit into their fluid 4-3-3 system.
