Aston Villa winger Ashley Young says their storming FA Cup fight-back at Reading on Sunday was just what the players needed after last week's Carling Cup final defeat to Manchester United.
Villa had to come from 2-0 down to beat Reading 4-2 and earn a return to Wembley for the Cup semifinals.
Young told AVTV: "It was the perfect tonic after losing last week. It was very disappointing to lose in a cup final and you've got to bounce back from it.
"It takes a long time to get over losing a final. Everyone has been disappointed this week but we knew we had a big game coming up and the chance to get back to Wembley.
"You have to put that to the back of your mind and concentrate on the game ahead and the way we started was not the way we would have hoped for.
"We did the talking in the second half with the display we put on."
