Aston Villa winger Ashley Young has been named the PFA Young Player of the Year for 2008/09.
The 23-year old has been in brilliant form this season as Villa have challenged the top four and chased a spot in next season's Champions League competition.
In 32 Premier League appearances, Young has scored six times and contributed eight assists and in December became the first player to win three Player of the Month awards within a calendar year.
He also won three England caps and succeeds Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas as the best young player in the Premier League.
"It's a massive achievement for the club and my team-mates around me," Young said.
"It's a great honour and I'm delighted."
