Aston Villa winger James Milner is delighted after his England performance in midweek.
"It was a debut to remember," said the 23-year-old. "It's been a long time coming but I was more than ready. It's the first time I've ever worn No 13, but it feels like a lucky number."
Villa manager Martin O'Neill was not surprised that Milner made such an impact. He said: "It was a terrific performance. James plays the game with enthusiasm and determination. He's just the same in five-a-sides. There's no half-measures with him. You have to tell him to slow down. It's refreshing to see.
"I knew he wouldn't flinch from the situation that led to the second goal. That's typical of him. The ball invited Defoe to put it into the net."
