Milner told AVTV: "West Brom are battling for their lives and have shown signs of recovery in the past few weeks - with good victories over Manchester City and Tottenham.
"They have been playing good football too - and fair play to them for that.
"Their manager has been getting stick from certain quarters about wanting to play football in the right way and suggestions have been flying around that you can't stay up by playing like that.
"But all credit to him for sticking to his beliefs. The lads will be enjoying playing that way.
"It should be a good day for the supporters - with two teams wanting to play good football.
"It will be tough though - derby games always are.
"They are great occasions to play in. We managed to get a good result at the Hawthorns but that was a tight, tough game and I am sure this will be no different."
