Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton admits James Milner's move to Manchester City has opened the door for him.
Villa face City tonight in the FA Cup.
Albrighton said: "I've had the chance to fill a gap. James is a great player. He enjoyed it here and has gone to a club going for more trophies like the league and looking for Champions League football.
"He is doing well there and Villa have probably missed him a bit.
"He was a great player for Villa and as lads we miss him. We get on well with him and good luck to him.
"To be sitting on the bench because he was in front of me, was no disgrace at all and I've learned from him more than anything."
