Aston Villa winger Ashley Young says he doesn't need praise to lift him.
Young has enough self-belief for most players, even by his own admission!
"As I've said, I have confidence in my own ability," he told the Daily Mail. "But there has been a lot said from Martin O'Neill to this manager and you take it all with a pinch of salt and instead just concentrate on what you are doing on the field.
"As long as I am playing well and the manager says I am playing well, that is all I have to concentrate on.
"I don't think those comments are there to put any pressure on me. I know what I have to do whenever I step out over the white line.
"I have to concentrate on doing the best I can, whether it be through the middle or out wide. I know what job I have to do and I am full of confidence knowing I can go out there and do it."
