Jermaine Jones has given the clearest indication that he wants to leave Schalke this winter by not travelling to the clubs January training camp in Doha.
The 32-year old USA international wants out of the Gelsenkirchen club and will remain in Germany to await any offers.
The news has Premier League trio Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland on alert while Crystal Palace and Norwich City are also showing interest in the former Blackburn Rovers loanee.
Frankfurt-born Jones, who has played for the US on 38 occasions, joined Schalke from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2007.
