The agent of Maxi Rodriguez says the Atletico Madrid captain would consider a move to England.

Maxi has been linked with Tottenham and Aston Villa this season.

"Atletico have not yet been in touch with us, but we have a good relationship with the club," Arturo Canales told Calcio Mercato. "As a result, I think that they will contact us at the right time.

"He is under contract with Atletico and the clubs that are interested must contact the club."

He added: "Staying put is not dependent on the club qualifying for the Champions League.

"If he were to leave Spain, then Italy and England are both attractive leagues."
