Aston Villa have denied Liverpool the chance to bring in central defender Richard Dunne.
The Reds reportedly made an enquiry for the 31-year old but Villa politely declined any potential offer for the former Manchester City man.
Dunne joined Villa in August 2009 and was named in the PFA Team of the Year in his debut season at Villa Park and has missed four matches for the 13th-placed club this term.
