Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has suggested that he is prioritising the Premier League over the Capital One Cup.
Villa take on Tottenham in the league cup on Tuesday night but Lambert is set to rest a number of important first team players for Saturday's league clash with Manchester City.
"We've played really hard teams in this opening spell - three teams you think will be round about there in Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, and now we've got two more tough ones," he said.
"The main one is Saturday but we'll do our best to get through the Tottenham tie."
Lambert is expected to leave out Christian Benteke, Gabby Agbonlahor and Antonio Luna for the Spurs encounter.
