Borussia Dortmund have re-signed goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller, ending the link with Premier League club Aston Villa.
It was understood that Gerard Houllier and Villa were in talks with the 30-year old German who has been in fine form for the Bundeliga leaders this season.
But recent news has revealed that he has in fact signed a contract extension, keeping him at the North Rhine club until at least 2014.
