Aston Villa are struggling to reach new terms with Ron Vlaar and Fabian Delph.
The People says even though Villa have suggested fresh deals for both Vlaar and Delph with each passing month it grows increasingly unlikely that either will put pen-to-paper.
Delph made his international debut for England last month and, as he is due to turn 25 next month, will be in prime position to cash in with the most lucrative deal of his career.
Villa are likely to put the squeeze on both players during the coming months but with both crucial to the club's chances of building on their good start, boss Paul Lambert will have little option but to play them both despite their deals nearing an end.
