Rangers are moving for Aston Villa striker Luke Moore.

Moore has been to visit Glasgow and has sounded out people about Rangers and life in the city. But Villa chief Martin O'Neill won't let him go on the cheap.

The former Celtic boss last month used a clause in the 21-year-old's contract to extend his deal until summer 2009 and will insist on a £3.5m fee.

A source close to Moore told the Sunday Mail: "Luke wants to move to Rangers but isn't sure if the club can afford him.

"It's out of his hands at the moment."
