Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey has suffered an injury setback.

The England striker suffered a groin injury during the 1-0 home win over Stoke on Saturday and had to be substituted midway through the first half.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill confirmed: "It is Emile's groin that is the problem although he was feeling a bit better after the game compared to when he came off.

"The doctor has had a look at it and he will have a scan tomorrow to see what has happened. We are hoping for the best but I won't really know until then."
