Released Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey is keen on a move to Hull City.

The Daily Star Sunday says the bustling ex-England striker, 34, is ready to talk terms with his old Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce, who made Heskey a £6.5million record buy for Brum from Liverpool eight years ago.

He said: "Steve is a very good manager who I know well.

"I always enjoyed playing for him. I have not had any contact with any clubs about next season yet but I am definitely not hanging up my boots.

"I certainly wouldn't rule out playing in the Championship."
