Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey accepts his place in England's World Cup squad is in jeopardy.

Heskey is struggling to break Villa's first-choice strike-partnership of Gabby Agbonlahor and John Carew - which is impacting on his England chances.

He told Sky Sports: "Everyone wants to get on that plane. It's a great tournament to be in, everyone wants to be there. Fingers crossed I can be on that plane, if not, it's just one of those ones where you've got to hope for the best and whoever goes out there brings back a trophy."
