Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso is desperate to make his mark this season.

Delfouneso says he's unconcerned over reports of manager Paul Lambert seeking a new striker signing.

"I try not to take much notice of speculation about other strikers the manager might be interested in," he told the Birmingham Mail.

"As long as I concentrate on my game, perform well in training and make the most of whatever minutes I get on the pitch then that's all I can do. Hopefully I can impress the manager and get my chance - because that's all I'm looking for, a chance."
