Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke admits he could be playing for DR Congo - but the FA never called him.

Benteke is the latest Belgian to be lighting up the Premier League this season.

He said: "Do I feel Congolese or Belgian? I feel both - as I have dual-nationality I feel I belong to both countries. But it was not a difficult decision for me to choose Belgium.

"The Congolese FA never contacted me so it never became an issue.

"It hasn't done me any harm however as I now believe I play in the most powerful football league in the world."
