Aston Villa striker Chris Benteke admits he's enjoying his rivalry with West Bromwich Albion's Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku.

So far Benteke has edged his compatriot out of the national side.

Speaking to RTBF Benteke said: "Romelu's done a good job at West Brom and I'm trying to do the same thing at Aston Villa. The final decision remains with the coach. Between Romelu and me it's a rivalry and that motivates me.

"We have great respect for the qualities of each other."
