Villa striker Bent: Row with Spurs boss Redknapp now over

Aston Villa ace Darren Bent says he has no problem with Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp over comments made while he was at Spurs.

The remark was made in January 2009 when he was playing for Tottenham and headed a late chance wide in a draw against Portsmouth.

"My missus could have scored that," said Redknapp. Six months later, the striker moved to Sunderland.

"Harry's a well-liked guy and a lot of people listen to what he's got to say," said Bent. "When I first left Spurs, it was on my mind to show people but after the first season when I scored a lot of goals at Sunderland I just put it to bed. Whatever he said, it's over now."
