Aston Villa striker Darren Bent is hoping he can be fit in time for this summer's London Olympic Games.
The Independent suggests that the 28-year old, who is sidelined for the remainder of the Premier League season with a serious ankle injury, wants to be make the Team Great Britain squad in July.
Bent had surgery this week to repair ruptured ankle ligaments, ruling him out of the remainder of the campaign for Villa as well ending his hopes of making the England team for Euro2012.
But it has become apparent that the former Sunderland and Tottenham man is keen to be one of three players above the age of 23 in Stuart Pearce's Olympic squad.
