Villa starlet Delph picked up nasty streak from Leeds hero Wise

Aston Villa starlet Fabian Delph has a nasty streak in him courtesy of working with Dennis Wise at Leeds United!

Delph was outstanding in Villa's Cup win over Brighton - now managed by former Leeds star Gus Poyet.

Poyet revealed: "We would play against the Under-16s on a Thursday afternoon. We had a few clashes! More with Dennis than with me.

"He looked very skinny, very small, but he's a tough guy."

Villa boss Martin O'Neill said: "There's an old nasty streak I have to curb a wee bit. He tells me that's how they play five-a-sides at Leeds, they went through each other.

"If I had 100 players, I wouldn't mind. He'd go through them all!"

Delph added: "I wouldn't say I'm a hard man in training. I just enjoying kicking them. I probably end up kicking them because I can't get near them. I just try to tackle hard, not to hurt them."
