The future of Aston Villa winger Ashley Young has been the subject of much speculation with Liverpool admitting an interest in the England international. But Sky Sports News reports Villa have yet to receive an offer for Young and will not consider selling the winger.
The 25 year old has been the subject of enquiries from Villa's Premiership rivals, but as yet no formal bids have been lodged.
The Midlanders have also stressed that Young is not for sale as he is a key player in the club's future plans.
Boss Gerard Houllier said: "I can confirm that Ashley is a highly-rated player and highly liked by everyone at Aston Villa. No way is he going to leave."
