Aston Villa are eyeing Tottenham fullback Kyle Naughton.

The Daily Mail says Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas was initially keen to keep Naughton with cover for Kyle Walker sparse at White Hart Lane.

However, he believes letting the player go will now be better for his development. That would indicate a loan deal again initially but the Tottenham boss may also consider a sale.

It won't be straightforward for Villa though as Southampton, despite signing Nathaniel Clyne, also still like Naughton and will consider a bid.
