Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov says it's time for their kids to stand up.
It has been a tough baptism for manager Gerard Houllier and the club's talented kids like Marc Albrighton, Barry Bannan and Eric Lichaj.
And Bulgarian midfielder Petrov, 31, moaned: "It is not good enough we lost 4-0.
"When you put in performances like that maybe you deserve to be down there.
"Now we have to show if we are men enough to get ourselves out of this situation. We just need to start working harder and believe more. We just don't play well enough and it is not getting easier.
"The next 20 or so games are important for us.
"The fans were great but we need to give them something to cheer.
"We can't afford to lose anymore points - we are in a really bad position."
