New Aston Villa signing Ron Vlaar says they'll be getting him at his peak years.
Former Feyenoord captain Vlaar is convinced his best years are ahead of him after committing himself to Villa until the end of the 2014-2015 campaign and wants to bring success back to the club after two poor seasons.
He said: "This is a dream come true for me.
"With my past, I am very proud but I always look forward and this is a great opportunity. I am very happy that Villa have given me this chance.
"For me, I want to play a lot and improve my play and do well with the team. That's most important.
"I am 27 years old and I know my best years are ahead of me. I feel fit and strong and I am looking forward very much to playing my first game.
"I know some of Villa's history and I have been in the stadium already and saw all of the pictures of great achievements. I really believe we can bring the happiness back.
"I think there is a lot of quality here and, if we play like we can as a team, we will make it difficult for other teams to beat us."
