Aston Villa are expected to soon open new contract talks with midfielder Fabian Delph.
Delph has just under 18 months left on his current deal and the 24-year-old has been one of the claret and blues best players this term.
Villa boss Paul Lambert said: "You'd certainly like to think his best years are still ahead of him. He's still only a young guy, though he seems to have been about for years.
''He has a big career in front of him if he keeps going the way he is."
