Aston Villa are moving for AZ Alkmaar fullback Simon Poulsen.
The Denmark international has been a long-term target for Villa and also regarded highly by their new manager Paul Lambert.
Villa have already burned off competition from Ajax and can sign Poulsen should Lambert give his approval.
