Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is launching a bid for Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
O'Neill is ready to beat off rivals Sunderland in the race to sign Gordon, 24, and has submitted a firm offer for the Scottish international. Villa made a bid of £7m that will rise to £9m after add-ons and that could be enough to tempt the SPL club into selling their prized asset, says the Sunday Mirror.
