Aston Villa midfielder Steve Sidwell still remains a target for West Bromwich Albion.
The 27-year old has been linked with a Villa Park exit in recent times but it seems the club are not too keen to sell to West Brom as they are strong Midlands rivals.
Villa are keen to get Sidwell's salary of their bill but would prefer another club to come in for him after they already sold Nicky Shorey to the Baggies.
Sidwell was set to join Fulham earlier this summer but the deal did not go through when then Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson joined Liverpool.
