Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan has confirmed that contract talks between the club and his agent are ongoing.
The America gloveman has positively stepped in to fill the void in the absence of Villa number one Shay Given and with his deal coming to end in the West Midlands, discussions are taking place regarding his future at the club.
"In six months from now I'll be out of contract. It has to be right for both parties but Villa is a great club.
"At the moment, I'm obviously pleased to be playing football and in the side helping out while Shay Given recovers from injury and push us up the table.
"Obviously, I'm in the team now so it gives the manager a chance to look at me. I've seen he has said some nice things about me recently which is good to see.
"It is a testament to what he has created at the club in terms of the atmosphere and the culture that everyone gets on with the job and we really stick together.""I know there are discussions ongoing with my agent so it is a case of seeing what happens," he told Express & Star.
