Aston Villa striker Darren Bent says the impending arrival of Charles N'Zogbia is very exciting for the club.
The French winger is set to join Villa from Wigan Athletic with reports suggesting the deal will be complete on the weekend following today's medical.
England international Bent is excited about the mooted move, saying he would be able to fill a void left by Ashley Young and Stewart Downing.
"If N'Zogbia comes, that will be a fantastic signing for us. Our aim is to finish above ninth and have a much more solid finish to the season," he said.
"It's been a bit crazy and we've lost two fantastic players, but we showed against Blackburn (in the Barclays Asia Trophy) that we can beat Premier League teams."
