Aston Villa's stand-in skipper Gabriel Agbonlahor had a nightmare first half in the 3-1 defeat against Tottenham last night.
The 29-year-old, who was handed the captaincy in the absence of Micah Richards, was axed at half-time after he managed only eight touches in the first half, two of which were from the kick-offs. He was replaced by Rudy Gestede at the break.
Gary Neville noticed the striker's worrying performance on Sky Sports: "Gabriel Agbonlahor is a centre forward. I had to check it, I thought "it's not right, that".
"Eight touches in the first half, that's the lowest of any player in the Premier League. Two of them are kick-offs.
"I'm concerned a little, he's not got a touch anywhere near the 18-yard box. They've got to get the ball to the centre forward, they've got to get it to him somehow.
"You've got absolutely no chance if you can't get your centre forward in the game, and eight touches, with two of them kick-offs is just... worrying."
