Aston Villa winger Charles N'Zogbia is full of praise for manager Paul Lambert.

He has axed N'Zogbia from his starting line-up along with £24m record signing Darren Bent and vastly experienced goalkeeper Shay Given.

"It's not about money, how many games you've played or international appearances," said the France midfielder.

"If he thinks you are not good or fit enough to play at the time, you have to stick to it and work harder.

"It keeps you on your toes and it is good to have a manager like this."
