Aston Villa fullback Alan Hutton is winning rave reviews on-loan at Real Mallorca.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Real Madrid in a 5-2 La Liga victory over Hutton's Real Mallorca on Saturday night.

But the Scotland star still earned rave reviews in the Spanish press for his display.

Not bad for someone bombed out by Aston Villa.

And Hutton's workout came at an ideal time given he's got a big game against Wales at Hampden on the way.

He said: "I played against Ronaldo a few times when he was at Manchester United. He is what he is, an unbelievable player.

"Just to play against somebody like that tests you to the limit of your ability.

"That is a great experience, something that has to help me improve as a player."
