Villa to offer Ireland to LA Galaxy for Keane

A swap involving LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane and Aston Villa midfielder Stephen Ireland could be on.

The People says Ireland, 25, has been on Galaxy's radar for weeks and their spies have seen even more of him recently after Keane's move to Villa Park.

Ireland could be interested in a fresh start despite his occasional big display for Villa. The Irishman may fancy the American lifestyle too, especially in Los Angeles.

A swap has been mooted involving Keane, though is regarded as unlikely.
