Chelsea are set to miss out on a deal for Valencia striker David Villa.

The Sun says Villa will snub Roman Abramovich by rejecting a multi-million pound move to Chelsea.

The Euro 2008 strike sensation wants to stay in Spain and join Real Madrid or Barcelona. Villa, 26, would prefer to stay in his homeland.

Valencia are resigned to losing him but Villa told friends if either Barcelona or Real Madrid try for him that is where he will go.

Even in England, he would prefer Arsenal to Chelsea because of their style of play.
