Aston Villa No2 Gary McAllister insists he had no problem with Nigel Reo-Coker in defeat to West Brom.
McAllister swapped the midfielder for Robert Pires in the second-half.
Villa were already struggling to adjust to a defensive change when Richard Dunne limped off injured at the start of the second half to be replaced by Ciaran Clark.
Asked if Reo-Coker was injured, McAllister replied: "No he wasn't, it was just totally to get another forward player on. It wasn't a reflection on his performance at all."
