The 37-year old former Arsenal star is weighing up his options regarding his future with some reports saying he is keen to extend his stay at Villa Park.
But he has also thrown a few other options into the hat with Qatar, Australia and the USA on his radar.
"I'm prepared to retire in May if that's what it comes to," he told FIFA.com.
"But I am also ready to go wherever an interesting proposition comes along - be it Qatar or the United States.
"I've even had an offer from Australia."
The World Cup-winning Pires has been in solid form in the English Premier League in his seven appearances for the 14th-placed Villa.
