Fabian Delph was delighted with his goal in Aston Villa's win over Southampton.

Delph has impressed for Villa this season and his first ever Premier League goal was the wondrous strike which settled the clash with Southampton.

"It is very special," he said. "Probably more so as we got the three points.

"The most pleasing thing for me was the way we kept going as a team. We dug in and there was a lot of grit and determination."
