Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan hopes to move to a Premier League rival.
The Birmingham Mail says Bannan has just one year left on his contract and there has been no talk of him being given an extended deal.
The 23-year-old midfield playmaker is now resigned to reluctantly leaving the club he first joined as a 14-year-old schoolboy.
