Villa to make offer for Sheffield Utd fullback Naughton

Aston Villa are set to bid for Sheffield United fullback Kyle Naughton.

The Daily Mail says the 20-year-old full back has already been vetted by most clubs in the top flight, but Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has shown the most consistent interest after watching him on several occasions.

With United facing cutbacks after losing the Championship play-off final to Burnley, the Bramall Lane board are bracing themselves for offers for several players and Naughton is the most in-demand.
