Aston Villa legend Peter Withe expects another relegation haunted campaign this season.
The 0-0 draw at West Ham halted a run of six straight defeats but Villa are spending the international break just two points and two places above the bottom three.
European Cup winner Withe told the Birmingham Mail: "I looked at the start of the season and saw them fourth in the table and thought: 'wooah, hey! Turned the corner' - everything seems to be going rosy and then they suddenly lose six games on the bounce and everybody is screaming.
"You see Twitter and read all the comments on Facebook and listen to the radio and a lot of other media and there just seems a little bit of pressure.
"It reminds me a little bit now of Newcastle. They went through that spell when they were criticising Alan Pardew and wanted him out and now all of a sudden he has turned the corner.
"Watching the game at the weekend against West Ham and seeing how they played - certainly with their backs against the wall in the last 15 to 20 minutes , they weathered the storm and managed to come away with a result. I think Paul Lambert will be thinking to himself that: 'maybe we have turned the corner a little bit here'.
"But I think there's some important games coming up for them. The game, as we all know, is about results. And if you are not getting those results you know you are under pressure week-in, week-out.
"Lose six games and you are really under pressure but after drawing at West Ham he'll be thinking to himself that maybe they can build on that. But the next games are important for them."
