Aston Villa legend Alan McInally has already been won over by Christian Benteke.
Benteke struck last week in victory over Swansea City.
McInally told the Villa website: "I hope a new hero has been born. He will be a very lucky man if he becomes a Holte End hero - and a popular player at this football club - because it's a great feeling.
"If you start scoring goals for Villa and playing as a striker up there, there's no better feeling.
"Christian came on as a sub and scored from a defensive mistake but he was still in the right place at the right time to find the net.
"He should be feeling on top of the world because there's no better feeling than scoring at Villa Park.
"He's a big lad and I think he will get better. I think Paul will work on him. It takes time.
"You have to learn things about the guys round and about you. You need to know when to go in early, when to go to the back post...that kind of thing. That will come.
"We didn't see an awful lot of Christian but what we did see was promising."
