Villa legend Gray unhappy with players' efforts

Aston Villa legend Andy Gray is unimpressed by the efforts of the current team.

Gray feels the players are underachieving.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "They look shot of confidence. They had a decent half hour against QPR but, as soon as the first goal went in, they needed someone to stand up and be counted.

"People like Gabby Agbonlahor don't do enough for me at that club. They miss Fabian Delph badly, he's the best player they've got.

"When you look at the midfield is there any creativity at all? Tom Cleverley, Ashley Westwood and Carlos Sanchez Moreno all work hard, and get around the football pitch, but where is the creativity in that area of the pitch when Delph doesn't play?

"They rely on counter attack football and, as soon as QPR took the lead, they just backed off. They weren't going to allow Agbonlahor, Andreas Weimann or Christian Benteke to run in behind them."
